Partnerships
In addition to the Company's internal product development team, Xogen is in a collaborative research and development partnership with the University of Toronto Departments of Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mathematics. These departments are assisting with product development in the following areas: Power Electronics, Electrode Materials, and treatment reaction identification and modeling. This relationship has been funded by Xogen and Ontario Centres of Excellence for Earth and Environmental Technologies and National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
Xogen has installed and is optimizing a pilot plant at the Town of Orangeville's (Ontario, Canada) Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). Xogen's consortium for the project:
- The Town of Orangeville - Pilot Plant Host
- Orangeville Hydro - Energy Monitoring
- University of Toronto - Product Development (Electrodes, Power Supply and Reaction Modeling)
- Linde Canada Ltd. - Hydrogen Oxygen Gas Monitoring and Analysis
Zeton (www.zeton.com) of Burlington Ontario is the pilot plant designer/ builder. Zeton is a globally recognized leader in the design, fabrication and installation of pilot and demonstration plants.
There is significant interest in the Xogen solution for treatment of wastewater from the food and petrochemical manufacturing/processing industries. Xogen is actively engaged with a number of potential customers for these markets.
